The Magnet-Ex 12 is a pencil-shaped test pen that is used to detect magnetic fields in potentially explosive atmospheres. Solenoid valves can be checked for excitation in just a few seconds without any special knowledge. The cumbersome opening of terminal boxes and connection to an electrical control circuit are also eliminated.
With its highly sensitive tip, the Magnet-Ex 12 is simply placed near the coil of a solenoid valve. If a magnetic field is detected, the test probe is illuminated in red.
The test probe is fitted with a captive test magnet, which is included. This makes it possible to carry out a self-test and a battery check. Once the batteries have been checked, the Magnet-Ex 12 is automatically switched off to guarantee a long service life. The Magnet-Ex 12 is held securely in the jacket pocket using the clip attached to the side.
